What Is Mental Health?


Mental health refers to emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. it actually help us figure out how to deal with our problems prevailing, stress and our emotional disturbances.Looking after mental health may preserve our ability to fully enjoy our life. its a stable state between our activities and responsibilities. its the most vital thing for everyone of us to care about.
As our life goes on we may experience different kind of situations which indeed may affect us emotionally or cause us to have problems with our mental health. a person can go through stress , anxiety, and depression.This in one way or another paves the way towards mental health problems. it can take serious turns in various cases and many people are seen to take extreme steps due to the stress Anxiety or depression they are facing.
There can be many factors which may contribute to this mental state of a person and they may include
1-Biological factors, such as genes or brain chemistry
2-Life experiences, such as trauma or abuse
3-Family history of mental health problems
The researchers also explained the difference in the availability and quality of mental health treatment for certain groups in terms of modifiable factors which can change overtime, and non modifiable factors which are permanent. Modifiable factors for mental health disorder include;
1-Socioeconomic conditions such as whether work is available in the local are
2-Occupation
3-A persons level of social involvement
4-Education
5-Housing quality
Non modifiable factors include
1-Gender
2-Age
3-Ethnicity
The study lists gender as both a modifiable and non modifiable factor. The researchers found that being female increase the risk of low mental health status by 3.96 times. People with a weak economic status also scored highest for mental health conditions in the study
Mental health problems are common but help is available. People with mental health problems can get better and many recover completely.

its a major cause of concern that though it is a big problem but still hasn't got no attention from anyone. no one really talks about it openly and that's why the early signs even often go unnoticed and due to this it causes huge loss later. Below are some early signs which may somehow indicate that you are facing mental issues.

1-Eating or sleeping too much or too little
2-Pulling away from people and usual activities
3-Having low or no energy
4-Feeling numb or like nothing matters
5-Having unexplained aches and pains
6-Feeling helpless or hopeless
7-Smoking, drinking, or using drugs more than usual

Getting enough sleep which is 6-7 hours
Developing coping skills to overcome every kind of stresses
Its better to cure it soon instead of hiding it. No one would call you a psycho and you shouldn't even care if they do because if you stay silent and let whats happening the loss is going to be yours they wont lose anything.
You can get counseling and do better. i have gone through it myself its a bit hard to cope with but not impossible. help yourself and see if you can help people around you if you notice them suffering because you would not want your loved ones to leave you.
